Celebrating Our Faith

Staff and students enjoy prayer and liturgy opportunities on many levels. Some of these opportunities include:

Daily Class Prayer

Pastoral Groups pray together every morning. Prayer is generally led by students and focuses on the needs or cause for thanks in our world, our families and our school.

Weekly School Prayer

Students lead staff and their fellow students in a weekly prayer and reflection time in the school Chapel before school once a week.

Eucharist and Liturgies

Staff and students are involved in celebrations of the Eucharist and other liturgies as classes, year levels and a whole school community.

Reflection and Retreat Experiences

Girls from Years 7 to 11 have the opportunity to take a day away from the College for the purposes of a spiritual reflection and faith journey retreat. Girls work in groups with facilitators to reflect upon their own spiritual and faith journey. The Year 12 girls enjoy a residential retreat experience over three days.

A thematic approach is taken across the six year retreat journey of the girls as follows:

Year 7 - Belonging to Our Faith Community
Year 8 - Stewardship of God’s Creation
Year 9 - Looking Inside My Spirit
Year 10 - Called to Discipleship
Year 11 - Responding With Compassion
Year 12 - In the Footsteps of Jesus

Year 11 students have the option of doing a street retreat as well as their own reflection day.
