As the year comes to an end for our Year 12 students, I would like to acknowledge their hard work and the contribution they have made to the MSJ community. The way that they have questioned, challenged, participated and been engaged in all aspects of College life over their time here has shown all of us that they truly are virtuous and courageous young women.

The Graduation Mass and Ceremony was a wonderful celebration of their many achievements. As they now leave MSJ, we wish them every success for the future and I am confident that they will continue to be women who believe, lead, inspire and challenge.

A letter from the Sisters of St. Joseph was sent to all families on 29 October informing them of a change of governance for the College commencing in 2020. I would like to assure all members of our community that this change will not impact on the day-to-day operation of the College. The charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph will continue to underpin who we are and the Sisters will continue be very much a part of our community. You may access a copy of the letter that was sent by clicking HERE.

As the year quickly comes to an end for our students, it is timely to remind them of the need to be prepared for the upcoming assessments and exams. All students will, over the coming weeks, be required to participate in exams and teachers have been working with them over the year to ensure that they are prepared to achieve their very best. The exam timetables were sent via PAM on 23 October so that parents are informed of when all the exams are scheduled. Please ensure that appointments, etc, are not scheduled during your child’s exams.

I would like to formally thank and acknowledge the 2019 Student Leadership Team – they have been amazing. I thank them for their commitment, energy, passion and great sense of fun! They have demonstrated true leadership. A very special thanks to our College Captains Amy Smedley and Mia Paladino, and the WWAMM Team. They have approached their roles seriously and have shown great maturity. They have worked well together in order to provide all of us with a range of amazing experiences throughout the year.

Congratulations to the 2020 Student Leadership Team and to our 2020 College Captains Laura Whitfort and Olivia Caldwell. They have big shoes to fill but I know they are up to the task.
