Yesterday’s inter school basketball was a great display of teamwork, effort, and school spirit. All of our teams came out strong, showing determination and good communication on the court, with quick decision making and solid defence throughout every game. Despite tough competition, everyone gave their best with the Intermediate teams making the semi finals and the Junior B and Senior teams through to the grand final. Unfortunately both fell short. However, supporting each other and maintaining a positive attitude continued to grow throughout the day and it was a valuable experience that not only highlighted skill but also resilience and sportsmanship of MSJ.

On Tuesday the 12th of May, my team went to play basketball at MSAC for MSJ. Overall, we played 9 games, including the grand final! We started the day really well, playing as a team and winning our first game by a landslide. We had a few close games throughout the day, but we only lost one. Some teams were challenging, but we still managed to come out on top. The grand final was a very close game. It was goal for goal for a while until we started to build a lead. With only a few seconds left, we were up by two points and managed to hold on for the win! The MVP award went to Matilda, and I went up to collect the plaque.

Tuesday was such a great day for our hockey team. We won all of our games and made it through to the grand final, where we finished it off with an awesome 8–0 win. Everyone played exceptionally well and worked really hard all day, with most girls managing to score great goals, whether it was from short corners or just great positioning in the circle! It was a really fun and successful day for the whole team.
