On Thursday 20th November, our school community gathered at the beautiful Sheldon Reception Centre to celebrate a milestone moment in the lives of our Year 12 students - their Valedictory. Surrounded by proud families, teachers, and friends, the evening marked the end of an important chapter and the beginning of an exciting new one as our students prepare to step confidently into life post MSJ.
The celebration was filled with warmth, joy and a true sense of achievement. Students arrived dressed in their best, buzzing with equal parts excitement and nerves. The ceremony opened with a heartfelt welcome, acknowledging how far our young learners have come - not only in their academic growth, but in their curiosity, resilience, and kindness.
The evening concluded with plenty of photos, hugs, and a sense of accomplishment that radiated throughout the venue. Families and staff left feeling grateful for the opportunity to witness such a special step in our students' educational journey.
We congratulate all our Year 12 students on their Valedictory and look forward to watching them continue to grow, learn, and shine in the years ahead. The future is bright - and the big world awaits!

MSJs Got Talent was held over three days this year and was an enormous display of talent from our student body. This year it was decided that MSJs Got Talent would be exactly that - a celebration of the talents that exist here and a platform for them to be shared. There was no need for competition when our students showcase such exceptional talent. We had singing, dancing, gymnastics, classical flute, and a brilliant singing and guitar duo who gave us a concert on the last day. The attendance and encouragement from the students were overwhelming. It is heart-warming to see the friendships that exist here at MSJ.

Students from the Year 7 Kincumber Visual Communications class recently volunteered to write heartfelt notes of encouragement for our Year 12 Media students as they headed into their final exam. The Year 7s took great care in crafting messages that recognised the seniors’ hard work, creativity and dedication throughout the year. Their thoughtful gesture helped create a warm, supportive atmosphere on what can be a nerve-wracking day, reminding our Year 12s that the entire school community is cheering them on.
