Travel Update: Werribee Line Construction Works

From Monday, 17 November 2025 until late April 2026, trains on the Werribee Line will run on a single track between Newport and Laverton to allow major construction works to continue.

What This Means for Our School Community
  • Buses will replace trains between Westona and Newport during this time.

  • Passengers travelling to the city from Seaholme, Altona, and Westona will need to take a shuttle bus to Newport Station, then continue by train.

  • Trains will continue as normal along the Altona Loop for passengers travelling from the city.

Impact on Students

Morning travel to Westona Station should run mostly as usual, but afternoon trips home may be affected due to bus connections and service times.

Families are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra time, and check PTV for up-to-date timetables and service information.

From MSJ to Melbourne Fashion Week

From a quietly creative Product Design and Technology student to a Melbourne Fashion Week designer - what an inspiring journey!

We are so proud of MSJ alumnae Rhiannon Todd (Class of 2019), whose striking collection Elytra lit up the Melbourne Fashion Week Student Collections Runway on Friday, 24 October 2025.

Inspired by beetles and the delicate beauty hidden beneath their shells, Rhiannon’s designs explore strength, vulnerability, and transformation - a reflection of her curiosity, creativity, and bold design vision.

Since leaving MSJ, Rhiannon has continued to develop her artistic voice, and her debut at Melbourne Fashion Week marks an exciting milestone in her emerging career.

Congratulations, Rhiannon - we can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you next!
