Cross Country

On the 4th of June, the Year 7–12 students went to compete in Cross Country to represent MSJ. The weather was freezing, wet, windy and super muddy, which made the races really hard, but everyone still gave it their best effort and kept going. Even though the conditions were tough, everyone supported and encouraged each other throughout the day.

It was a really good experience and a fun day to represent the school. Lots of people ran really well and should be proud of themselves for finishing the course in such bad weather. There were also some great results during the day. In the Year 8 Division 1 race, Kalani came 5th. In the Intermediate race, Annable came 3rd and Ella came 7th, which were amazing achievements. In the Senior Girls race, Keely came 4th and did really well in the difficult conditions.

Athletics

On Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, MSJ proudly competed in the CGSAV Division 2 Athletics Competition.

Everybody gave their all and ran their best. When needed, students stepped up to fill vacant spots without hesitation. Competing against nine other schools and their top athletes was no easy task, but with plenty of cheering and support, we pushed through.

It was a very competitive day, but in the end, the Senior and Intermediate teams finished third, while the Junior team emerged victorious. Overall, MSJ placed second in the competition. Everyone worked hard, showed up on the day, and gave their all.

We would also like to thank all the teachers for organising everything, as well as for their coaching and support throughout the day.
