Student Wellbeing Report - August 2025

The term is well underway and we have seen such great energy and enthusiasm.

Seirei High School Peace Exchange Program

In this world where we see nations fighting against each other it is refreshing witnessing first hand our young people and your families engaging with our Seirei sisters. We have had our sisters from Seirei High school join us and experience life at MSJ. A special thanks to Ms Jen Mahoney for her work co-ordinating the program and for Mrs Sexton for her work behind the scenes. We are fortunate enough to be sending a group of our students across to Japan at the end of the year also. See the detailed report of our experience.

Feast Day Celebration

Feast Day Celebration was a great day where we celebrated Mass, held fundraising stalls and finished up with a big concert. The stalls enabled us to collect money in honour of the work of Mary Mackillop. A special thanks to Mrs Anne Severi for her work ensuring we all had a great day. In the words of Mary Mackillop “Find happiness in making others happy”.

The Little Shop of Horrors

The Little Shop of Horrors cast and production staff are looking forward to putting on a show for us all next week after months of rehearsals. Please come and join us. There are still some tickets available.

Uniform and Lockers

This is a reminder that all students must be using their locker and lock(supplied to all students) to ensure all their belongings are safely placed in a locked locker. This includes phones as they are required as per our policy to be placed in their locker. We are well aware that students are breaching this expectation. Parents/guardians and carers are expected to collect phones when they have been confiscated three or more times. This is to ensure all students' items are safe. Uniform expectations must be adhered to and we are aware this requires challenging conversations. When we work on this together we will achieve greater things.
