Netball - School Sport Victoria

Ciara winning MVP during last year's SCSA netball competition

For the past few weeks, I have had the amazing opportunity to try out for the School Sport Victoria Under 15 Netball team. This would not be possible if it weren’t for the amazing coaches, who have helped me develop as a player. My first trial was on the 8 March. There were around 200 girls at this trial. Each week after we warmed up, we were put into positions and teams to play round robins whilst the selectors looked on.

It was a great experience being surrounded by coaches who are at the highest level in Netball, dispensing great feedback to the girls from all around the state.

I successfully made it through to the last round, with only 26 girls left. It was a rewarding experience to make it to this final round, and no matter what the results were, I was happy with my performance throughout the trials and will be eligible to try out again next year.

I was unsuccessful in making the final team of 15 but I know the girls who made it into the team were well deserving.
